The 3,000-person Central Mosque in İvedik Organised Industrial Zone, Ankara holds a special place in Erkonsan’s portfolio. A shared place of worship and gathering, it combines a central dome, surrounding semi-domes and two minarets. The restrained stone-clad exterior is complemented inside by tile patterns, calligraphy and stained glass. An arcaded gallery and daylight filtering through the domes emphasise the spacious interior. It is an example of our diverse portfolio’s contribution to community life.
